1. Information on the collection of personal data

In the following, generation:l Michael Hoffmann e.K., Moselstraße 27, 60329 Frankfurt am Main ('generation:l') provides information on the collection of personal data when using the website https://generationl.de/. Personal data are all data that can be attributed to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, user behaviour.

You can contact our data protection officer at datenschutz@generationl.de or by writing to us at our postal address addressing it to 'data protection officer'.

If you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the data you provide (your e-mail address, name and telephone number, if applicable) will be stored by us in order to answer to your queries. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. We will delete the data collected in this context when storage is no longer necessary, which is the case when it is clear from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified.

If we use contracted service providers for certain functions of our service or wish to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail about the relevant procedures below. We will also specify the criteria for the retention period.

  • Right to restrict processing: In accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful but you refuse its deletion and generation:l no longer needs the data but you need it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.
  • Right to data portability: According to Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive your personal data provided to generation:l in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another controller.

If you have given your consent to generation:l, you have the right to revoke your consent to generation:l at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

3. Collection of personal data when visiting our websites

If you use the website https://generationl.de/ for information purposes only, i.e. if you simply browse the website without registering and without providing us with any other information, generation:l only collects the personal data that your browser sends to our server. On our website, we also link to offers from other partners and service providers (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn). The content of these offers is not embedded on our website. 7. Use of Vimeo

Our website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with Vimeo videos, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address. We have always integrated the videos in the ‘Do Not Track’ version so that Vimeo does not track your user activities and does not set any cookies.

The use of Vimeo is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offer (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

In order to ensure an adequate level of data protection when transferring data to the USA, we have concluded the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission with Vimeo in the so-called ‘Controller to Controller’ variant. 8. Matomo

This website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo.

Matomo uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable Generation:L to analyse the use of the website. For this purpose, the usage information obtained by the cookie is transmitted to the server and stored so that usage behaviour can be evaluated. Your IP address will be anonymised immediately, so that you remain anonymous as a user. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not passed on to third parties.

Matomo is used to further improve the website and customise it even more to your needs as a user (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
